Note: TRAVEL TRY-OUT SCHEDULE (OCTOBER 2022)
Travel basketball preparations are underway! While open gyms are not mandatory, it is a great opportunity for players to get some time on the court prior to tryouts. It gives coaches and players a chance to meet and work together in a no-pressure environment.
Travel basketball tryouts are open to competitive players, 5th through 8th grades. Tryouts will be held at the beginning of October. Prospective players must attend at least two of three tryouts to be considered. Teams will be selected immediately after the final tryout date for your league, and pre-season practices will begin in late October.
CYA travel is part of the Fairfax County Youth Basketball League (FCYBL), which is a non-profit organization. Travel season begins late-November and concludes in early March.
NOTE: 6th grade boys open gyms will have a cap of 30 kids per date. Please sign your child up using the Sign Up Genius link HERE
